To properly map using GPSmapedit, use these settings:
1. Turn Snap to Grid OFF
Tools > Options > Edit > Uncheck Snap to Grid
2. Set Unit to Lat/Lon +ddd.dddd
Tools Menu > Options > Units tab > Position > Format
3. Set Save object as [POI], [POLYGON] and [POLYLINE] sections
Tools Menu > Options > Load & Save tab > Settings for Polish Format
4. Save Postal Address Information in verbose format
Tools Menu > Options > Load & Save > Settings for Polish Format > Save postal address information > as “CityName=”, “RegionName=”, “CountryName=” attributes per object
5. Remove harmful tools from the menu
Tools Menu > Options > Common > Customize Menu & Toolbar >
- UNCHECK Tools | Generalize | Nodes of All Polylines & Polygons
- UNCHECK Tools | Special | Join per-Level Elements
- UNCHECK Tools | Special | Split Objects by Levels
- UNCHECK Tools | Remove Routing Nodes
- UNCHECK Tools | Clear External Nodes
6. Download Masmap Skin and place it in your GPSmapedit folder. Add Masmap Skin to your GPSmapedit: View Menu > Manage Map Skins > Add > masmap_skin.TXT and activate it via View Menu > Maps Skins > masmap_skin.TXT [day]
